Expecting with Hope Launch Day…and a Bit of My Heart
It’s been a long time coming, Expecting with Hope. I wrote this book, much like Hope for Today, Promises for Tomorrow, based on the needs of the women we’ve been ministering to through Mommies with Hope. So many come to us for support – whether in person at one of our support groups, or online – because they’ve experienced miscarriage or infant loss. A good number of those women subsequently conceive again and give birth to a healthy baby. Fear and anxiety seem to be constant companions of the pregnancy after loss experience. Expecting with Hope is written with that in mind, pointing women to Jesus, our true Prince of Peace.
I have to admit, I look back over the past couple years and see clearly that this book was completed and now available in our hands only by the goodness and grace of God. In the writing of this book, there were times when the spiritual warfare and personal trials in my life seemed to be consuming. I continually had to ask the Lord for endurance, perseverance, and strength to accomplish the task He had set before me. There were times when I wanted to give up (just keepin’ it real!) and lies that the accuser whispered in my ear as he planted seeds of doubt.
Today, I sit at my dining room table with morning sun peeking in, warming my hands as I type these words of overwhelming, humble gratitude. I don’t know how the Lord will choose to use this book, but I can rest in knowing that He has accomplished a feat that seemed insurmountable to me along the way. That’s how I know it’s all Him and all about Him. I pray that many are blessed in the reading of this book as they come to know, believe, and trust in Jesus.
